Instructors
Course Information Pre-Licensing Course Curriculum The Colorado pre-licensing course consists of six modules. Each module is divided into subjects and each subject is divided into lessons. Optional quizzes are provided for each of the 78 lessons. There is a required test at the end of each of the 19 subjects and a final exam at the end of each of the six modules.
Continuing Education Courses Colorado continuing education six (6) or eight (8) hour courses provide brokers with up-to-date knowledge based on actual experience in the real estate field. We are not offering the mandatory eight (8) hour continuing education class because this class is being discontinued by the Colorado Real Estate Commission on Jan 1, 2003.
Individual Courses Individual real estate courses are available as needed for out-of-state licensees, lawyers, and front office personnel.
Glossary Terms The glossary contains more than 800 definitions to help you gain a greater understanding of real estate words and phases. Words and phrases defined in the glossary are
also included in the text. Place your cursor over words and phrases that are in
blue text to see their . Use the cursor to point to words and phrases as a way of clarifying the text. After reading each part of this course, review the glossary for that section
by selecting glossary to the left of the text. When you have completed the entire licensing course you might like to review the entire glossary as an affective study tool. At times, primarily in this first 48 credit hour course, we have added glossary terms with definitions to the text of a class. Definitions included in the text indicate important words and phrases necessary for a complete real estate education. Study the glossary terms that are in the text as part of the class material. The Manual and Learning Tools Icons
Manual links are designed to help the student locate related information in the Colorado Real Estate Manual. Click on manual reference icons to enhance your understanding of the content of a class. The manual often has more in-depth material on
subjects contained in the pre-licensing course. The Learning Tools icon leads to examples, sample forms and scenario answers. Contracts Contracts depicted in the ACREServices pre-licensing course are designed to assist in the learning process, and are not Commission-approved forms. Please note that on the contracts printed in our courses, we have used two different
fonts. The pre-printed portions of the form are in a font called Times New Roman. The portions of the form that are filled out by the broker are in a less ornate font called Arial. The Arial font is most often used throughout this course of study.
Course Exams ACREServices pre-licensing courses include three types of tests:
How to Take the Exams Read each question carefully, noting the negative phrases, such as "all of the following are correct except" or "which of the following is not true about." Read all four answers. If two answers seem correct, decide which answer most fits the question. Leaving and Retaking Exams There is no limit on the number of times that the student may take a quiz,
test or final exam. If you leave a quiz, test or exam before completing it you must start it over from the beginning. ACREServices uses a system of randomly rotating questions on final exams only. If a student leaves a final exam before completing it , the student will be presented with a new test and will need to start over from the beginning of that exam.
A Practice Question This is an example of how a typical question will be displayed. In this example, there are six questions in this quiz. The filled blue boxes indicate that the first two questions have been answered. The red outlined box indicates that we are currently looking at question four. Question three has been skipped and it's box is not filled in. You may look at the questions in any order and skip back and forth among them as you desire. The clear answer button will remove any answer selected (in this case A) so that the question will appear unanswered. The mark answer button will color the box yellow, indicating that you want to come back to that question and look over your answer again. Question five is marked. You will only be able to move forward to grading after all of the questions have been answered. Marking questions will not prevent you from proceeding to grading as long as all of the questions have been answered.
